Do you have IC17 present? That's a 74LS00 to the right of the right ROM or at least a socket for one. If not, it'll be a bit more complicated.

Re: resurrecting one time the original rom plus kludge
You need to split the 48K ROM file into equal chunks of 16K each (starting 0000h, 4000h and 8000h). The first 2 parts fit in the internal QL sockets and the last 16K goes on the ROM Dongle.

Re: QXL card (original) memory question
After I mentioned the QXL card having QL-style network ports, anyone happen to know if these continue to work with the 25MHz QXL? Network timing is a bit critical, but it's possible that SMSQ and SMSQ/E take this speed change into account I suppose.
(I don't have a QXL nowadays to check for ...

Re: Power Problem with CF Adapter (on QUBIDE)
From what I’ve read “in theory” it should be able to use the 5v on pin 20 without any modifications/cables
I’ve since found an image online showing an adapter plugged directly into the Qubide, rather than on an ide cable like mine, so, as mine can’t plug directly in due to 1 of the 40 holes being ...

Re: Power Problem with CF Adapter (on QUBIDE)
I have a distant memory telling me that some cards only work with 5v. Not sure how true that is.

Re: Italian and Spanish QL manuals
A google search has not led me to Spanish or Italian QL (black binder) manuals.
Yes, the Italian version seems unobtainable. I'm trying to ask the Italian QL mailing list, you never know.
Thanks. I'm nearly finished though, so if there is already a version then there will be another! Just b ...

Italian and Spanish QL manuals
A google search has not led me to Spanish or Italian QL (black binder) manuals. Does anyone know if these are available online? If definitely not, then I'll add them to my list of things to scan with my new book scanner.
