German QL power supply with switch – dimensional sketch.
Hello to all.
Has somebody a dimensional sketch of German QL power supply with switch. QLvsJaguar has shown it in one of his Youtube video. I would like to use it’s form for my power supply project.
Thank you
Jože

I have four German QLs of various vintage. None of them has a switch on the PSU. Apparently, that was pretty rare or non-existent. (My suspicion is it never was the German version - but rather one specifically made to Swiss regulations)Barbarpapa1 wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 11:47 am Hello to all.

Re: German QL power supply with switch – dimensional sketch.
As much I understood the video it was planned and made for German (and/or Swiss) market but never issued due the problem with already existent packaging (it was bigger, hence no room). But it was prepared for serial production (mouldings for serial production were ready, at least some examples produced) by Swiss company Gebo (Gebo NT 901 was the notification on type shield). I’m aware that it is ultra rare, I heard for the first of it in the mentioned video, and I was unable to find any pictures of it…

I have such power supply.
And I think, that it really comes from Switzerland.
Will see, if I will find time to measure it (the power supply is bigger than the usual one).

Good evening
I would appreciate it very much. There is no hurry, I tend to do my projects slowly
. Best thing with hobby is that it has no time schedule attached

I have taken 15 photos.
The power supply is bigget than the usual one (which has 9-10 cm) with 12.5 cm, divided into 3 sections by 4, 4 and 4.5 cm.
Other dimensions (width, height) are the same as for the old one.
It was manufactured in Switzerland, I have photographed the internals, too.
Interestingly the power supply connector is different (bigger), too.

Hello.
Excellent, it’s so much more than I expected! Thank you so much! Plan is to do a 3D model of it and build one with some extras…
Thank you and have a good time.

Re: German QL power supply with switch – dimensional sketch.
Hello
I’ve started with modeling and this is the result:

This is only the start, top and bottom housing, actually the outline. I started with normal PSU housing which was then adapted to bigger version. This was possible pretty accurate, thanks to dex. There is still a lot to do, all inside features should be created. I want to add some kind delay on PSU output side to mild the possible voltage shock when the PSU is switched on. And the electronic of phone charger with the USB connector will be added to supply a RGB to VGA converter.
When I’ll complete it I’ll publish the 3D model files (STEP) here...
