Well I fitted my QL-SD, it is as predicted in manual unstable with SGC.
Looks like I need to get some expansion RAM, mine is lost in storage somewhere.
Here are the pics.

Thank you for posting this.
Do You feel I should add more warnings about GoldCard and SuperGoldCard?
If you like to get an image for 128K then just tell me.
Kind regards
Paul

No there were plenty of warnings about the SGC incompatability and I was well aware of it, I had just forgotten that my memory expansion was in storage when I ordered it (I was so excited at the prospect).
A 128k compatible image would be cool until I can sort myself out with memory expansion.
I must say I am impressed with device so far, nice and easy to fit, goes into microdrive slot nice and easy. Manual is awesome.
I did not quite understand the bit about Q-Emulator and BDI files, is it saying if I copy a BDI file somewhere in Q-Emulator as it stands now I can write files to it?

I don't have a Trump Card - I have a 512K expanderam which has some faulty memory chips (anyone want it?) and a couple of dead end PCML RAM expansion cards - think they are only 256K from memory - they don't have a through connector.

Actually if I could make a deal with you for one of those other ram expansions as well, then I can get QL-SD running while repairing expanderam!

XorA - you have a PM - yes, it is standard RAM chips (41256P-15) - although I may have spotted the problem - half the chips are MB81256-15 (no real difference), but two are MB81257-15 ....
It is a Miracle Systems expanderam - there is the metal case for it, or the rarer (taller) plastic case - let me know which you want
