Hello from the South Wales Valley's
Hi to say a quick a hello and a small bio of my gaming journey
It was thanks to Sir Clive ZX Spectrum way 84 that my love of gaming 1st started when my cousin got her ZX Spectrum for Christmas and we played all over that Christmas for then I was hooked and begged my mum to get me one. A year later I got my ZX Spectrum + along with Silent Service and one of my fav games of all time Gift From the Gods and my love of Sir Clive and Sinclair was truly born I also love SEGA and also been an XBot since the OG XBox and can't wait for the Series X.
Now thanks to van I'm able to also join the QL gang and own this fantastic forward thinking system.
Looking forward to learning more about this fab system on the Forum, thanks and take care, everyone

No, you are safe enough. I'm not a fan of any football team. I'm Scottish after all!Team Andromeda QL wrote:I just hope you're not a LEEDS fan (Jk)

I gave up supporting football teams when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I realised then that a "professional foul" as they called it, was simply cheating -- and I hate cheats!
I follow sports with a big F*** off engine in -- F1, Bikes, Power Boats etc, but not drag racing -- and nothing that involves running, jumping, throwing, rowing etc. The World Cup and the Olympics, to me, are tedium in the extreme. (Other opinions are, of course, available!) I don't follow "my" sports religiously though, if they are on TV, I'll watch them, if not, I won't worry about it.
I do support Wales and Scotland at Rugby (union) of course -- especially when they are playing England!!!!!

Cheers,
Norm.

Re: Hello from the South Wales Valley's
I'm Cardiff City and we all hate Leed **** LOL. I was brainwashed into football by my Brother who's 10 years older than me, he took me down to my 1st Cardiff game when I was 9 years old and he also bought me a City top and so was hooked for that day on... I love F1 but miss the days of V8's, Engine blowouts and the T-Car badly. I hate the engine limit rules and limit on testing in the current F1NormanDunbar wrote:No, you are safe enough. Re: Hello from the South Wales Valley's
That's another problem with football, the tribalism. It's not for me.
I was offered a job, when I was 17 (1977) by an Italian, living in Magny Cours in France. He had a small factory making F2 and F3 cars. He was Tico Martini, and 77 was his first year in F1. His drivers were, if I rememver correctly, Rene Arnoux and Alain Prost.
He only did one year in F1 due to the cost. I'm not sure what happened to his drivers.
I turned down the job offer as I'd only just started as a Honda motorbike mechanic. Silly me! At the time, Tico owned the circuit at Magny Cours.
He was my late step father's cousin. Apparently he was quite famous in motorsport.
Cheers,
Norm.
