Having programmed in Perl (on PCs) before, I have yet to play with the QDOS port although had read through Jonathan's documentation from cover-to-cover previously.

I wonder how much - if any - of Perl5 could ever by ported to QDOS/SMSQ - I recall Mr Hudson's comments suggesting that it could not be done...
