Q68 Advance Notice 3 - Release date
Q68 Advance Notice 3 - Release date
By a hospital stay, the public release of the Q68 board will probably be delayed by several weeks.
Derek asked me to inform that the new estimated release date is 6th of November.
On the positive side, this allows me to "polish" one or two features, do more testing, and write a little documentation.

Take care in the meantime, that is of course the most important. I hope you are not into serious health issues.
Kind regards,
Xavier.

Yes, Derek is in hospital, not me. He had problems with the WiFi connection there, that's why I was posting the info.

Sad to hear of this - I wish Derek well.

If I had a problem with my internet connection, I would go to hospital too! That's serious business!

Re: Q68 Advance Notice 3 - Release date
Hi,
Thank you kind words.
The situation was that, I have regular throat operations to remove growths from the vocal chords. For the 24 years I have had over operations. My case is very rare, usually I one operation fixes the sitution.
Last Friday performing the same operation to remove a vocal chord growth. The Surgeons disciscovered an infection. Which comprimised my air ways. So I was rushed to Royal Liverpool Hospotial to an 8mm diameter Tracheotosmy Tube inserted to ensure safe airway. I been sitting on ventilator simce the...
The Tracheotomy Tube is now fitted with a simple one valve. So now speech possible. Just learn to eat and drink again.
There is a plan to reduce the Tracheostomy tube 6mm diameter on Mon/Tuesday, with later replacement of a temporary Cap over Tracteotomy tube. Which also removed.
Looks all positive at present.
I will update you any changes proposed Q68 production date.
But I can assure you the Q68 is best hardware design by Perer Graf, I have seen. Coupled all SMS/E with hi-colour by Wolfgang Lenerz. Makes the Q68 very compact machine.
I hope bee able to have the use one...
