Louis, on the sellmyretro.com site has been doing some work on QL hardware.
He has a second hand Miracle Expanderam, which lacks the case, and when connected to his QLs, he found that there was a lot of interference on the TV picture.
To overcome this, he has added a lot of M1 ceramic capacitors to the Miracle board on the solder side. One capacitor to each RAM and one to 74HC245.
This has improved the picture greatly.

Do you know if this cure was overcoming product design flaw or old age capacitors losing their value?
