QL colour markings

Hi,

I have been noticing small circular seals sticked to various QL parts, e.g. on the bottom case two proofseals in YELLOW and GREEN, inside the case PINK, microdrive ULAs GREY, microdrive heads VIOLET, QL board WHITE. Not sure I got all the colours right but I am curious what do these markings really mean?

They are just the different quality control stickers used by the different sections / companies - I guess the violet ones on the microdrive heads were probably added by the company who made the read/write heads, rather than Sinclair itself for example.

I heard that some Sinclair staff were so disappointed in some of the people setting up microdrives that they started marking their units with small pink circles. Out of the collection of QLs I acquired I found two marked with pink stickers, and they have proved to be the most reliable.
