Hi,
I have a QL Issue 6 board, and I have read through the QL Service Manual.
It recommends a fix to be applied to the board's solder side, consisting of tripping two tracks, and adding two wire bridges for MDV better performance.
Could anyone please share their experience, as to what benefit or improvements can be expected after this particular fix?
Also what other fixes are recommend for Issue 6, and how I can exactly identify fixes possibly already applied?
Many thanks
Tom

Re: QL Issue 6 main board
Tom,
If your Microdrives are fine, I wouldn't bother doing anything. The mod was introduced to fix bad r/w performance on the mdv.
Except from that modification, I know of no other official mods for post-issue 6 boards.
