Once i get the OPD running, I plan on getting the PCML Telestore ROM copied out that allows for the extra memory. With basic embedded in an Internal ROM, plus the 128K as Static RAM all built on a modified CPU plugin board, that should give the machine a bit more horsepower, and still allow 4 slot xchange cartidge to be used.

If I could get a copy of the Telestore ROM that would be useful to make SRAM modules which can fit into the ROM slots.

I'll post it here once I have it up and running

Thanks. Even if we can get a small (16K) upgrade it would offset the memory taken by disk interfaces and allow the config program to run under BASIC.

Unfortunately PCBWay are being slow at creating the PCBs today so very unlikely that they'll arrive before next weekend when I'd have time to test things.

By the way, you didn't just buy the Telestore from eBay did you?

No - I got one earlier - I paid a bit more than that one went for on ebay, which I watched to see how much it went for.

to fit the memory in the same size case, they soldered the ROMS directly to the board - no sockets - so the extra ROM that carries the utils for Xchange and the additional memory management can't be removed easily to read it's contents.

That's annoying.

Ah. If I knew how much you paid I'd have set that as the maximum bid. I was sniped on all the ROM modules and the Telestore all in the same second, which suggests some sort of automation.

I got 2 of the ROM modules - the ones from satelite computing - never seen them before - I am happy to dump the contents of these out to add to the ROM library :-)

I missed out on the big disk units a few months back - the ones that run CPM from a 64180 chip and provide a disk interface.
