For what it's worth I have the same CF adaptor as yourself. I'm using a qubide clone (a QubATA these days). Mine is powered via the card.

What ROM Image are you using on the Qubide clone?

3.11 now. I have used this card with 1.56 qubide rom and 3.10 qubata too all with the same adaptor and card.

one thing I noticed the other day was that I'd managed to bend one of my jumper pins (the one near the 7805) . I realized that if I managed to bend that over and it touches it's game over! so I may actually remove that header.

Is that the yellow header? Any idea what it’s for please?

yes, it's to bypass the voltage regulator, so if you had a powered backplane (5v) you could use that instead. doing so without one will put 9v into your card...

I have a dual CF adapter on my TI-99/4a, maybe I could try that with the board
