Ah, OK. Bit of a schlep from London...
I have the equipment needed to reflash the QL-SD device and have made the same change on one of mine successfully.
PM me and perhaps we can figure out how cost effective shipping to/fro would be.
Or are you planning to attend the Dormagen event in May?

Re: QL-SD jumperable
Hi,
If there is any problems, I can also perform the task.
The QL-SD ROM PCB just need a 3 pin jumper soldered in and I have a an adapter to program the QL-SD firmware without soldering the the pin header to the QL-SD.

Hi Martyn, Derek.
Great! Thank you so much for the response and the offer. (It's wonderful to be in a cool community like this where people are always willing to help).
I will send you private messages to see the possibilities.

Unfortunately, I can't go to Dormagen, it's a pity because it will be a very relevant event in the QL world. (We will all be eagerly awaiting the news and events of the meeting).martyn_hill wrote: Wed May 01, 2024 12:16 am Or are you planning to attend the Dormagen event in May?

Re: QL-SD jumperable
I now have my jumperable QL-SD up and running (Thanks Martyn!). I have used it intensively over the last few weeks and everything is very robust.
Thanks Peter, the QL-SD jumperable was a good idea!
(By the way, maybe these are my impressions since I don't have objective measurements, but I have the impression that QL-SD jumperable with QIMSI is much faster in file reading and writing operations than the standard QL-SD).

Re: QL-SD jumperable
Good to hear. The problem for most people is to get the CPLD updated.
Obvious for me, but maybe not for all: If the accelerated CPU of QIMSI Gold is used, it will only access the on-board microSD socket, not a QL-SD.
This allows a much higher speed.
But of course QIMSI Gold can still be used with the 68008/GC/SGC CPU, and the "jumperable" QL-SD trick will work for those.
