Nice. If you still can could you please:

Add a comment that "QLes con tarjetas Gold o SuperGold Card no son compatibles en este momento" ;) .

We don't want to raise any false expectations.

Otherwise: Happy that you're happy with it ;)

Gracias,
Tobias

Not yet. :)

We traded a QL-SD for a SuperRAM. It lets me test all my new hardware against QL-SD to ensure compatibility. I'll send him his SuperRAM as soon as it's complete.

Right, I've updated the information.

It will be GREAT NEWS !! when the QL-SD will be compatible with (Super) Gold Card . The ultimate expansion for a black box QL ( (Super) Gold Card + QL-SD ) :P .

I just picked up my QL-SD from the postoffice. Easy install in my JSU QL with a broken mdv2, so it's a perfect swap. I guess I'll hook up the original led shortly. I'm pleasantly surprised how fast the system is; it really loads and saves fast. Close to ramdisk speeds perhaps - I haven't really timed it though.
The QL that hosts the QL-SD is an unexpanded one, so the SD image isn't that big (3Mb). Not sure if that's a factor.

Anyway, I guess now the wait is on for Dave's SuperRam. I could really use some more ram!

For the data transfer rate, the image size is a neglegible factor.

I have installed my QL-SD internally, taped it on the iron keyboardplate.
Works great with the PCML Q+ 256k + twin diskdrive.

But I had one issue: using WCOPY simply crashed the system.
Finally (after a lot of trial-and-error) found out MAKE_DIR_BIN was causing the problem!

Does your disk interface provide a MAKE_DIR command itself?

No, toolkit provided with pcml-interface is very basic.
In fact I also tried it out with Q-emulator and when you load TK2 (as the QL-SD would do) and thus not use Q-emulator's own TK2, the same thing happens.
And then when using WCOPY, after a certain amount of files it reads "out of memory". One time even the FAT was corrupted!
It could be a memory thing, as Q-emulator also uses a 384k? Maybe I will have a try with a smaller BDI_bin file, 32mb instead of 64mb?
