It is not such a well known fact the the bagpipes are not a musical instrument. They are in fact a weapon of war!

As for broadband, we are in a rented fisherman's cottage, by the sea and not in a good signal place due to very thick stone walls. Outside the signal is a full 5 bars.

Our broadband is a mobile broadband box thingy. But it's inside the house, by an upstairs window and we get a half decent signal at times! I've seen it up as far as 6 MbS in the past.

But the house is wired for BT fibre, and it has had it before, but we don't know how long we will be here, so taking a 24 month contract is not a great idea.

HTH

Cheers,
Norman.

That explains a lot!

The fisherman’s cottage sounds idyllic. Tbh if I could live somewhere like that I wouldn’t be bothered by lack of connectivity

Mono pressing, Germany. For just €10.

I think RalfR should have been born British!

Some of those Beatles records, especially in mint condition with picture sleeves, can sell for fairly high prices these days.

:D I think that sometimes too.

"Paperback Writer" can only be heard in a mono pressing, as it retains the beautiful echo that's barely audible in the stereo mix.

The English Parlophone pressing in mint condition costs around €50 (at the moment); mine is VG+, still very good. Much too expensive  .

BTW: I also use EMI tapes ;)
