Of course, that is the minimum.
Otherwise, I would be just a lamer.

Finally fetched my parcel today from the DLH delivery shop nearby (wasn't at home, when it arrived) with 4 RAM expansion a 512 KByte (switchable to 256 KByte for full 768 KByte) and two MicroDrive Pico. Wanted to test the RAM expansion. But I seem to have a display cable problem. When I connected it to my (currently only working) German MGG QL the screen showed nothing (only green), but I know It has had worked with this monitor (monochrome), and it has a new keyboard membrane. When I wickled at the display cable one time I could see (albeit in very bad quality) the famous F1/F2 prompt. So the QL seems to be okay (Microdrive starts when pressing F1/F2), and I assume also the monitor, but the cable seems to have a loose connection.

For the memory expansion: Must I simply set switch 2 to 2-3 for the second card (connected to the first which is connected to the QL), to receive the full 768 KByte extension?

Unfortunately I have nearly no time this weekend. Tomorrow I have to go to an aunt's funeral and on Saturday my nephew is celebrating his wedding.

Hi :)

Firstly, I would not use any device with the QL till solve this video problem. Just for precaution policy

I would not use this cable, it may produce shorts if the cable was released from its solder to the pin and touch another one (if the cable was not protected properly inside). What may result in damage of your ZX8301.

If you need help to built up your own cable or the RGB2VGA pico converter, please to ask. I will make a video or write instructions in a proper thread for it

You could use RF cable (same than Spectrum 48K) to check out that the rest is OK.
Did it happened before you got the RAM expansion or MDPs?

You have the table with the combination in my Github, in the Alvaro Alea's Github, and also here in the forum.

I'm sorry, my condolences.
