If there is need, I can additionally enlarge the QIMSI hardware receive FIFO from 16 to 512 Bytes. That would be 5 Minutes work. But I have not yet seen a case where the 40 MHz CPU would fail to read data quickly enough with the current SMSQ/E interrupt driver.
