Had to call an Ambulance for my mum at 4am, she didn’t have to go to hospital (so far) but I’m going to be dealing with the aftermath for some time

I'm so sorry!
I hope she will get better soon.
Many thanks Popopo
I’ve not eaten a meal for 3 days so just heating up a lasagna before I head back to the Hospital.

Built first test unit this morning, to try and take my mind off things
It works as a Minerva ROM ok and the RTC clock works as it should (other than running slow, which I assume will be fixed by trimming it?)
Don't know when I'll have time to explore the other functions more and the I2c functionality
Thanks for all the advise

What sort of pins did you use for the QL socket? Can you post some pics from the downside?
Thank you.
I used the ones in the attached image
If I decide to make a board to fit inside a QL (It's currently attached to a Viglen external socket) I'll probably look for some with shorter pins. Will also have to skip the sockets I think to make it fit in the QL

Don't laugh at the soldering, I've never tried anything like this before!

Very good job,
By photos, I would check out (or try to improve the soldering of the joints marked on red), just in case.
Try to heat more the pad than another thing and touch with the soldering wire the pad. When it smelt get stick to the lead too.
Very very good soldering really. congrats.
Finally, do not use those type of pins for QL Sockets. They are too thick and will spoil the sockets (in case you would want to use the previous ROMs), instead use rounded pins (try to use high quality from Mouser or RS)
