nice to know,
Since I didn't know it, BBQL sounds in my head like BarBeQue Long, and I felt very stupid
Now I know Black Box, Bare Bone QL

Probably a "cruelty to QLs" prosecutable offence for letting it do that to itself...

That was, if I recall it right, in 1986 when I had my first new QL. The poor fried thing was replaced under warranty, so I'm pretty sure I was not guilty of anything. --- [That was years before I even dared to come close to the QL with a screwdriver, god beware a soldering iron. Everything I fried afterwards on my QLs I plead guilty, and fixed myself]

The remaining parts arrived in the post today, so just got to find time now to give the first board a go (hopefully this weekend)

Have had to put this on hold for now

Had to call an Ambulance for my mum at 4am, she didn’t have to go to hospital (so far) but I’m going to be dealing with the aftermath for some time
