It was a buy it now (no offers accepted) so I assume it sold for £104

I nearly bought it myself as a spare, but decided against it. It’s much better to go somewhere it will get used (hopefully)

I got mine for half that on Ebay recently on a buy it now price, 52 pounds.

Agree with your sentiment on letting others have a go. The same sale had a Quibide interface that I left for others to buy. Too many collectors have multiples of the same thing. An interest like the QL will only prosper when more people are involved with resources spread out.
The only thing Ebay has lots of is bare QL's with no leads and power packs!

Given the amount I have sold recently, gold cards and super gold cards aren't actually very rare.
