Mouse in Q68

Post by afx »

A question about the mouse in Q68.

Is it possible to customize or adjust the mouse cursor speed (mouse movement sensitivity) on a Q68? I have noticed that the mouse movement on the Q68 feels a bit more sensitive compared to my QL-SGC-Qimsi or the QPC2 emulator. I would like to slightly reduce the mouse speed on the Q68. Is there a way to do this?

If you have QPAC2 installed, it has a component named "Sysdef" - You should be able to adjust the speed there.

Hop, I'll answer myself, the answer is in the SMSQe manual, there is a command for this, MOUSE_SPEED, I hadn't noticed.

MOUSE_SEEED 4 is fine for me on my Q68.

(Sorry for the question. Lesson: "I have to read the manuals well before asking" ;) ).

RTFM is not very community-centric so ask away :-)

Hi,

I always use the MOUSE_SPEED command in SMSQ/E, but mouse speed can be changed in the QPAC2 SYSDEF menu/thing, which seems to do the same thing controls the mouse movement through the Extended Environment in the PTR_GEN routines.

I will have to read the SMSQ/E source code to establish this.

I do not agree to this, if someone takes the time to write the manual, I think I should take some time to read it.

Invariably, most manuals contain the anwsers the the question, just some do not bother to read...

I always enjoy this forum more when there is more traffic and I learn from the questions and responses and sometimes it causes me to investigate something new, so I'm fine with a question like that. It's a recreational forum where we can share ideas and ask questions. Better than, when checking the new links, finding nothing new, which sadly happens at times on this forum (more than I like).
