YES THERE IS A WINDOWS NATIVE VERSION.

It's fine if you don't want to use it, but please stop with the massive negativity about it.

sorry, my message(s) was (were) never thought negative. The opposite is true. When I have looked at the GitHub site (found via Google) I couldn't find a binary version. So I prepared to compile it myself and so I asked. Unfortunately, I had confused MinGW with Cygwin, or thought MinGW was similar to Cygwin (with Unix compatibility DLL). I will install sQLux in any case (especially if a binary version is available), I would even have compiled it myself if necessary.

Sincerely Peter
No problem Peter, sorry I over reacted to that!

QPC and Qemulator were developed independently in 1996, QPC in Germany and Qemulator in Italy. Since there were no earlier emulators, neither developer has any prior art to reference. Each emulator had a different take on how the emulator handles QDOS file on the underlying file system. uQLx also came out in 1996, based in part on Qemulator (mostly the 68000 emulator core IIRC). Each emulator was written on a different operating system (DOS for QPC, Mac for Qemulator and Unix for uQLx) and that probably effected how each author approached how the emulator worked. Once each emulator was released, the die was cast, so to speak.

Understanding how we got here can help in understanding where we are going.

Tim
Each of these emulators have had a long evolution since then. That is what Im referring to. Over the years Ive been in touch with most of the emulator developers to iron out unnecessary difference where possible.

I'm fed up of feeding your trolling now!
Yesterday you put down ql_freak, and today you did it again with me. I was miffed and answered back as good as I got. However, now you go too far, making false allegations and swearing. You clearly are not fit to be a moderator until you can moderate your own temper. Perhaps you need a holiday?

I agree, even if I did not follow the conversation. This is not the tone we are used to here.

I do agree that the tone may have been a bit excessive here.

I'd like us all to take a moment and remember that getting along with each other is what builds a strong community.

On closer reflection I see that I had a share in escalating this little spat, and for that Im sorry. I bear no ill will and am happy to put this behind me - provided XorA has also got what he needed to off his chest.

I should, however, like to be assured that I do not troll! Trolling is a specific activity and has to be intentional. Knowing my own intentions, I also know that I dont troll anyone.

The GPD Pocket 2 is GREAT!

Have downloaded sQLux, copied (and my *.win, *.sh and .uqlxrc files from my uqlx-Installation) it to the GPD (is not so easy from WSL2) and went to one of my favourites pubs (the one which has WiFi). Then I unpacked sQLux, started the *.exe, AND IT WORKED - Plug and Play, as it was always with the QL.

p.s.: The other files were only copied, so that I could read them to e.g. edit the *.ini file of sQLux.

did you try "lpr.exe" instead of "lpr" only in sqlux.ini?
Yes, exactly the same result (bad parameter errors in the emulator).

Have since restarted Windows in case it needed it (even though setting up LPD didn't say to restart). Same result.
If you run it from a windows console, you should get a couple of printfs of debugging that might give us more clue.

It is not a feature Ive ever used even in linux though!
It looks like from the manual the windows lpr command does not support input from stdin.
