My mailbox is full so there are a number of messages in the queue that I cant read until I delete some older messages.
Now I like to keep old messages for reference. I dont want to just delete them, or go through each and every one to see which to keep or delete. Is there a way of downloading all my PMs? Eg tick the boxes and click some download button?

Re: QL Forum mailbox
Well, sort of.
You can (in the PM overview window at the very bottom left) press "Export as CSV". This will create a comma-separated file that you could, for example, import into MS Excel or the like.
It will, apparently, only export one single page of messages (so, needs to be done a number of times to get everything), and you'll have to fiddle around with your spreadsheet import function a bit to get all the fields in proper order, but most of the data seems to be there.

Seems us QL Forumers are not very good at reading the clues! (except you, of course
)
The available method is not ideal, of course. It would need quite some tidying to become a useful reference. I'll see if the is a quick and easy way to parse the data and output it in a more usable form..
Thanks a lot for your help!

Well, no. I actually never bothered to look at this button until you asked - Because it says "Export this view..." and this view only contains the message topics, which I found a bit useless. But, apparently, it seems to export complete messages (albeit only one screen at a time).pjw wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:41 pm Seems us QL Forumers are not very good at reading the clues!
