Also, is there a plan, similar to Peter, to have someone else build some of these for sale to the QL community. I know Peter doesn't do that himself and not for everything (i.e. I don't think QZero is available for instance), but he has released awesome things like Q68, QIMSI (now defunct), and QIMSI Gold (plus a ton of others before I joined the forum).
Yes it became confusing because there where many revisions and because people started posting about the small boards that are cpld ula replacements in this topic that is meant to be only about the fpga based one and I replied here also.
But for the small basic ula replacement there is a different topic named "CPLD replacement for ZX8301".

I think I am going to make the smaller board (CPLD replacement for ZX8301) also available for one to build on his own when I find time to publish the info.
About plans for production of the fpga board, I'll think about it.

Hi Leon,

I have some of your 8301 replacement boards, which I do not use a 8301 on any of the QLs I use.

I like the new FPGA version, with accelerator and storage.

Maybe you should give the different boards names to avoid confusion.

Thanks, looks like a license also suitable for Q68 / QIMSI. If you like, you can provide a pointer to the sources, so I have the opportunity to design a compatible FPGA and make my player work on your hardware as well. Not urgent, as I have tons of other QL work.

My player supports version 2 up to 6 .ym files with header info display, selectable channel muting, rewind, forward, pause.
2MHz clock set at compile time for Atari compatibility.

The Qzero is availble for friends who do not require decent documentation. ;)

I used a version I found in another project but I found it on github also https://github.com/EisernSchild/YM2149

Hi, this is a good idea, my last name starts with "Lion" so I used to name my projects like Lion multicart, Lion fpga computer ...
The ULA board could be Lion ULA.
Now this fpga card could be "Lion Leap" lol :)

Hi
About revisions and sub-versions...
Lion's ZX8301
Lion's ZX8301 Accelerated
Lion's ZX8301 Accelerated Enhanced
Lion's ZX8301 Side Plug
...
or
...
Lion's ZX8301
Lion's ZX8301 A
Lion's ZX8301 AE
Lion's ZX8301 v2
Lion's ZX8301 A v2
Lion's ZX8301 AE v3

I would be interested to make some boards by myself if it is opensource. I need at least 2, so... If I am going to do a small bunch I could offer the others.
In particular I would like to modify the simple version (only ZX8301) to do it... tiny enough to do not cover any other chip. I know Tetroid made it, but I prefer an openSource and later offer the Gerbers and so on to the community (to anyone who would like to build it by themself).

The latest ULA version in order to work with the GC/SGC has no acceleration at all.

Let's use the cpld ula topic for the CPLD ULA.

Thanks. It is System Verilog, I won't be able to use it.

Sorgelig? oooh that is a big guy, is he the same that developed The Mister? I admire his work
