I've been sent a ROM image of the ICE software for the QL.

Does anyone know if it was ever released for free distribution, or is anyone in contact with its author David Jones to ask for permission?

I got it up and running on Q-emulator just now, not really expecting it to work but it does seem to work if you use cursor keys, not mouse.

Hmm - the copyright to this and a fair bit of other QL software rests with Eidersoft, so far as I can see.

Eidersoft disappeared a long time ago - I tied to contact them, but no luck !! I even spoke with the company that programmed Karate for other computers, but they had no real knowledge of the QL version

I now have v1.12 of the keyboard controlled version of the ICE ROM and v2.1 of the MICE ROM - not sure if there were later versions?

where can i find the rom image of the ICE program?

Unfortunately the ROM is still copyright - unless someone can find Eidersoft (or who used to run it) and get their consent....

If you have an original ICE ROM, we could provide the image for you to update the software on your EPROM, but that is all.
