I'd certainly like to attend - as long as it's not one of the 5 weekends I have to work, or one of the few weekends I am away on holiday.
The last ever event I attended was a Computer fair in London with a reasonable QL presence - and that was back in the eighties!

Wherever you decide, I will try to attend. Manchester is probably too far for a there and back in a day, so I'd have to find somewhere to kip. Birmingham would be easier.
The following are probably too far south, but...
The Cave in Gloucestershire looks like it would be a great venue (I keep meaning to visit, have not yet), although I do not know whether they host external dos or whether it is too far from an airport.

The computer museum in Swindon may be too small, although there is ample parking (central Swindon seems to consist entirely of multi-storey car parks, that and roundabouts)
They do have a QL on display, as I recall.

There's the Retro Computer Museum in Leicester: https://retrocomputermuseum.co.uk/
The Cave doesn't (yet?) do external events.

Re: Possible QL Is 40 event, UK
Hi everyone.
I want to meet this year with some like minded people.
I am going to go to Tring, in the summer this year, and I think some QL people will meet me there?
Tring is a beautiful place, near London and fairly central. There is a very cheap but nice hotel with a big pub.
Another option is to meet in Cambridge, possibly at a computer museum.
We just need a date, maybe in July, August or September. Please let me know if you can make it. I will be there, alone if necessary. Come meet me.

Do you mean RMC's place? That would be a great place to have it (not that I could make it from the US). Did anyone contact Neil and ask?
Re: Possible QL Is 40 event, UK
Still lurking here... Watching this thread - depending on where and date I would be interested - I wonder if we could persuade Phoebus to show off the Beta QL core for the Spectrum Next?
I will be at CCH in Cambridge this weekend for the Portable festival but, I am sure those going to Germany will have fun - looking forward to the Video coverage
I know Crash was a Spectrum mag but, perhaps Chris Wilkins would be happy to host a table for the QL@40 at Crash Live due 24th of November if nothing else is arranged. They usually have RCM and others there with other Sinclair machines like ZX80/81 MK14 etc.
I would certainly like to visit the new RCM and North West Computer Museums so they sound great as well.
Having a word with Neil about the Cave is a good idea for upto 20-30 people although may need some discussion due to the morning/afternoon aspect.
If you want the Social part whatever venue and a possible evening then a shared nearby hotel is probably a good idea!
