Just to have this documented somewhere:
In case you want to run QPC2 v5 on an Apple Silicon Mac, you have to tweak the emulation a bit to get proper keyboard shortcuts. The default settings will not allow you to enter <ALT> key combinations using the "Option" key.
QPC2 V5 wants a specific mapping which is set using the registry editor in the emulated bottle which is set like so:
Once you have QPC installed, start regedit.exe in the QPC bottle and add a new key to the registry (you can run regedit from the command line or the task manager, for example):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/MacDriver/LeftOptionIsAlt="Y"
(THat's a REG_SZ key)
After that, QPC runs just fine on emulation in emulation on my new MacBook (and quite a bit faster than on my Intel-Native Mac)

Re: How to run QPC2 in Wine/Crossover on Apple Silicon Macs
Hi tofro,
I can confirm that this works on QPC II 5.02 under Win 7 emulation within Whisky on a 14-inch 2021 M1 MacBook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1
Many Thanks!
