My "new" 512K Expanderam arrived today and I now have a full 640K
My question is, what are you supposed to do with the metal plate that covers the bottom (or is that the top) of the RAM card? I initially assumed the board would fit into the side with the plate attached but it doesn't. I therefore removed it. The issue now is that there is a bit of the RAM card that is protruding from the side, not very elegant.
As the RAM card has a pass-through for something else (usually used for an FDD interface) I think the idea of the metal shroud was to cover the protruding part of the RAM card and all of the next expansion card in the 'chain'.

Ask me about felt pads - I can cut them to size and they have proven excellent for mdv data recovery.

I see. So I just need a 3D printed RAM card cover in the QL style.
