DataDesign SBASIC interface
DataDesign SBASIC interface
I was looking at the PROGS download site and noticed that the DataDesign engine is freely available now. However, there doesn't appear to be a file for the SBASIC extensions. Is this available or has it not been released into the PD?

Hi JonS, I don't suppose you could put your post in a little more context as it is rather intriguing?

Re: DataDesign SBASIC interface
The PROGS download site appears at:
http://www.progs.be/Downloads/downloads.html
Whilst Prowess itself is now freely distributable, I am unsure of the status of DataDesign or LineDesign for example.
The sources are provided for the DataDesign engine which can be accessed from SuperBASIC, so you could re-compile them - it is just the compiled version of this which remains as part of the commercial DataDesign package.
I have emailed Joachim for clarification...

Re: DataDesign SBASIC interface
I'm not sure the engine can be accessed from SBASIC, as no new keywords appear to be added when you load engine_rext.
