Minerva 1.98a1 and QL-Customboot
Minerva 1.98a1 and QL-Customboot
Hello.
I am trying to boot latest minerva with QL-Customboot. (https://github.com/janbredenbeek/QL-Customboot).
I Have a Super Gold Card Clone (https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/detai ... lone-32756)
But what i get is only a black screen with the Minerva logo at the botton right corner - and noting more.
Any idea what to try.
/Pär Högberg.

So maybe it simply wasn‘t tested on an SGC so far. The SGC is sufficiently different to maybe require some tweaking. Jan, any idea?janbredenbeek wrote: there is a test for the 68020 processor by the boot code, which I have copied but haven't tested since I don't have the Super version

I have tested 1.98a1, 1G98a1 and 1S98a1 - with the same result.
Anything i can check/test? - just tell me.

I‘m pretty sure it doesn‘t depend on the OS being booted. Not sure where it crashes and difficult to debug…

The correct entry point into the (S)GC ROM is crucial. Which version is he using? The code is written for the v2.49 ROM (which I believe is the latest), older ROMs may not work and I don't know whether the Tetroid ROM is compatible in this respect.mk79 wrote:So maybe it simply wasn‘t tested on an SGC so far. It would be nice to have an image of your SGC ROM, though it will probably not be straightforward to create one as parts of it will be eclipsed by RAM or QDOS ROM. If you can read out the contents of this ROM (perhaps using an EPROM programmer) I would be grateful.PärH wrote:Yes, 2.49

I dont have an EPROM-programmer, but i ask some friends - maybe i get hold of something.
