It is amazing how much information we all forget over time, and I am sure it is written down somewhere, but can someone remind me how to determine what happens when you Execute a file (or use Edit) from the Files sub-menu.
I can't spot it in the QPAC2 manual on Dilwyn's site...

Re: QPAC2 Configuration
With QPAC2 alone, not a lot. Only executable files are executed
What you probably refer to is FileInfo2 and its configuration? Here you can determine what is supposed to happen when a non-executable file is executed. If you have FI2 loaded, you can configure that using FI2Config_obj. So, you might be looking into the wrong manual.
