Scart to HDMI upscaler

The SCART to HDMI upscaler which I have for my QL, to connect it to a TV or monitor with HDMI connection, seems to no longer be available.

The same company now offers this on eBay - has anyone tried it, or have any idea if it would also work with QL? For all I know it might be nothing more than the sdame electronics just packed into a smaller fancier box (it looks better than the older one I have and lower price too!). It's available from various sellers at various prices on eBay.

It looks like that box can only handle composite video and not RGB.

Hi,

I am wonder how difficult a task to produce an RGB to HDMI converter for the QL or other RGB based systems.

The SCART->HDMI converter as stated only uses CVBS signal conversion.

SCART was supposed to make the connection of video equipment in a standard way. But maybe not...

Excuse slight tangent to thread, but VAT trigger limit is £15, so what would be real cost? I've ordered quite a lot of stuff from China, but always kept below £15 (incl. p/p). AFAIK minimum extra charge is £8 to collect VAT. Or do you ask for Gift...

I am hoping they would send it as a gift and the customs would not look at it closely.

But payament of the VAT is clear problem and import more than one would mean import tax and VAT.

Maybe not worth the effort.
