QL startup issue

Have you recently installed the rare Scottish Rom version? (sorry for my modest humor).
I think you should follow Martin's good suggestion

It sounds as though your ED disk drive is not working properly.

Try FLP_JIGGLE 1 - that was sometimes needed for some drives.

You could try cleaning the heads, if you have a head cleaner disk.

Try formatting a fresh disk and save and load from that - does that work?
