QSound and QPrint Interface
QSound and QPrint Interface
Has anybody got one I could borrow to take the Schematic for a week?
It doesn't have to be in a working condition.
Or has anybody sold such a device and knows the contact of the new owner?
Does anybody know if there is software that uses its sound output?
I would really appreciate any information about it.
kind regards Paul

Hi Paul,
I have been reading the messages in the German Forum, since I do not speak German, I did no enter a message.
I have sent you a PM with regards to Qsound, I have all you want.
The Sound output is not amplified, the details are in the manual, which I have scanned and is on Dilwyn's web site.

Re: QSound and QPrint Interface
Was QPrint a separate interface?
Would be great to get some better pictures and more information about these on the QL Wiki.
I hope you can acquire the rights to the hardware and software as it would be great to have a proper sound interface for the QL once again!

Re: QSound and QPrint Interface
Afaik it was one single interface, providing the sound through an AY chip and in addition had a parallel printer port. It did advertise a printer buffer, but whether that was using QL main memory or came with its own buffer, I do not know.RWAP wrote:Was QPrint a separate interface?

Great idea! I hope it works out well for you. This project may could get some support out of the community if it should prove to be to complex or expensive for one individual?
As a future project I'd love see you doing a graphics board with G2 compatibility. Must be dreaming.
