If my memory serves me correctly I think Keith Mitchell might of achieved this back n the 90's.
I have a QL motherboard here somewhere which I modified by cutting the end of the PCB off flush with the edge of the 8049, so it has no microdrive circuitry etc. I had to replicate some of the video ...

Re: Q68 Order Process
Hi Mark,
The only thing missing is a Q68 logo on front of case.
I tried to get 8mm letters 1mm thick. But not being successful.
I did do a 3D model in FreeCad of the Front Plate with raised logo letters. But no 3D printer to test it out.
Derek, send me a STEP or IGES file of the model and I'll ...

Re: UART driver for QDOS/SMSQ
Jan Wrote a driver for the 6850 ACIA as far as I recall. Maybe if the source is available it could be modified. A uart is just controlled via its registers after all.

Re: QL Eprom programmer
Kicad I quite like, but it has its foibles. CERN use it and help develop it, so if it's good enough for CERN, I can probably get used to it.
.
Norman. I have just been using KICAD to design an Arduino based datalogger PCB for a project my students and myself are involved in, I actually quite ...

Re: Stuart Honeyball
I am fairly sure Stuart moved back to Yate in South Gloucestershire (My old home town) I suspect that it may be possible an announcement may be made in the local paper at some point.

Re: Stuart Honeyball
I was present at the launch of the Gold card at the Horticultural Halls at Victoria and remember well the buzz about it at that event.
Can you remember when that was?
Would be very early 90's. Possibly the last ever Traditional Microfair at that venue. They moved to Sandown racecourse I think ...

Re: Stuart Honeyball
Very sad news indeed. I was fortunate to have had many long conversations with Stuart at Microfairs, workshops and other events. I was present at the launch of the Gold card at the Horticultural Halls at Victoria and remember well the buzz about it at that event. We once met him in the centre of ...

Re: Whatever happened to ?
John. Good to see you are still around. I think the last time we spoke may have been at a Bristol Workshop at Portishead or perhaps one of the events at Portsmouth. I know I did not go to the one in 2000 ish. I had more or less left the scene by about 1999, although was still reading the newsgroup ...
