Re: QL Commander v2.1

Hi Andrew.
I finally found time to install and study the functioning of your QLC 2.1. I must say that he impressed me very much. :o
Great work. :D

Re: QIMSI

The Qimsi works perfectly, I have no doubts about that. Yes, the problem arises only by connecting the keyboard to the SuperHermes and this happens by connecting the keyboard directly to the SuperHermes.
Thanks for your interest, I will try other ways.
Greetings

Re: QIMSI

Hi Peter.
Excuse me, the most important thing. When I reboot with Minerva or SMSQE the keyboard is connected to the Qimsi, this time, no more to the superhermes.
Regards.

Re: QIMSI

Hi Peter.
In the QL booting process, having installed a Tetroid multirom, I can choose whether to start with Minerva or with JS rom. If I set the latter, I connect the keyboard cable to the superhermes light. Please note that I connected Q68,QL, PC win 98 with QXL, pc linux to the same mouse and ...

Re: QIMSI

I would exclude a PSU overload because my Ql is inserted in a pc case with double power supply, a standard pc PSU for floppies, Kilgus VGA 2.0, and an internal fan, and the original Ql PSU for the motherboard and peripherals.
Thank for your help.

Marco

Re: QIMSI

Hard to guess from afar, but my main suspect would be the Multirom. Hermes and SuperHermes sit within the QL internal IO range and shouldn't collide with anything. SuperGold Card mainly as well, but should work. QIMSI NoGold uses the RO Port area exclusively, but MultiROM could easily play into ...

Re: QIMSI

I think that the qimsi non gold doesn't work without the SGC, or am I wrong? For the rest I will try to follow your advice.

Yes, to run a QL OS with standard QIMSI, you always need a CPU on the QL side, not necessarily a SGC of course.

If I understand correctly, you are using an external ...

Re: QIMSI

... If I restart this time with Minerva or SMSQE, the QL starts normally but both Jan's keyboard drive and the SMSQE one (if I restart with this one) do not work correctly (

Hi Marco,

what do you mean with "restart"? Press the QL reset button? If yes, the QIMSI is not reset, because the ...

Sounds like a power issue, have you removed the 68008.

Not sure what QIMSI Classic is?
Yes the 68008 is removed.
