Hi,

Does anyone know of a decent 68K disassembler for Windows / Linux I'm trying to disassemble parts of the disk interface ROM just because I want to try and tinker :)

And yes I know about IDA Pro, but the free version won't do 68000....and I don't really want to spend £350 :)

I've tried having a play with DEA downloaded from Dilwyn's site but can't seem to geo it to disassemble things correctly :( I have a copy of Idis somewhere and I suppose I could try that, I should have an original Microdrive for that also as i notice there isn't a copy available for download....though I guess it may have been denied.

Cheers.

Phill.

Try Dasm68 at http://finitron.ca/Software/mc680xx.html. Never used it to know what it's like, claims to do 68008 up to 68020. There's an associated 68000 cross-assembler there too.

If you get it to work, let us know how you got on!

There was also a 68000 disassembler for the Easy-68k system discussed on here a while back - try the disassembler on Sourceforge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/d68k/ and Easy68k is at http://www.easy68k.com/

You could also try George Gwilt's GWDISS diassembler, running on QL, part of his GWPK package available at http://gwiltprogs.info/page2.htm
