Having come across a new chip designation (the 8503), I thought it might be useful to start a thread listing the various chip designations for the QL:

ZX8301 ULA
This is the chip to the right of the 68008 Processor.
This is marked as IC 22
- Plessey - marked CLA2310 (PS P 02 or PS P A2)
- Plessey - marked CLA2345 (PS P B and ZX8301)


ZX8302 ULA
This is the chip to the left of the LED connectors
This is marked as IC 23
- NCR0371725 (marked as ZX8302)


8049 Co-Processor
This is the chip to the left of microdrive unit 1
This is marked as IC 24
- NEC 8049H11
- Philips MAB8049HP
- NEC 8503X7
- Hermes
- SuperHermes


I seem to think I may have sent Dave a different ZX8302 chip....

I know some of these have been shown to work better with US QLs and also with the HMI adaptors according to the threads on here....
