Is the source for Toolkit II available anywhere ? It would be nice to generate a version that didn't have to be initialized with tk2_ext every time you wanted to use it.

Also my Sandy Superdisk (the original one I have anyway) has 1.18 ROM on it that has some of the commands available from switch on e.g. EXTRAS FOP_IN and so forth but not the full TK2, it would also be nice to build a version that didn't clash or over-ride this.

Oddly I got another Sandy Superdisk recently that has a later version of the disk driver and does have TK2 onboard. Both are the 177x version of the interface though the latter one has the 512K addon board too.

No, sources for TK2 are not known to be available from anywhere. (Should you find them, I guess a lot of people would be interested)

Are they not duplicated in SMSQ/e of which the sources are available?

Not really.

SMSQ/E is an entirely different OS than QDOS - It just shares the same behavior and programming interface. SMSQ/E doesn't treat TK2 as extension, but has the calls directly embedded into the OS instead of calling API functions.
