Speaker replacement

Hi!
I'm looking for a speaker replacement for my QL, I am not looking for a original one at all, but something that if I connect doesn't break out my QL.
Service manual doesn't explain too much (even is wrong cause it is not piezoelec).
Some posts here bet for a 32 ohms one...
Does somebody knows which one could work the same than the original one?
I need it as close as original for another project in process.
Thanks

Hi,
Just unplugged my speaker and mine measures 39.5 Ohms. So fairly close to 40 Ohms.
This document claims that the speaker is 60 Ohms. Which does not sound like a standard value to me.

But your QL should be safe with a 32 or 40 Ohm version. The sound output is buffered by a transistor and another 82 Ohm resistor.
So even if you would short the speaker, the maximum current would be around 55 mA.
Diameter is 23 mm.

Wauuuu thank you very very much Marcel!
Also for the document, It will be very helpful to me in one of my "trying"

related also with the sound that I want to do.
Also another document claimed the same 60 Ohms, but... I don't believe it and you confirmed it.

thanks
