TF Services I2C Interfaces

Hi,

I have been given TF Services I2C interface parts and Minerva MKII interfaces from Tony Firshman.

The I2C interfaces that Tony used to sell, are only the parts and PCBs, Tony wants to produce 3D Printed Cases.

The Minerva MkII interfaces need testing and repaired as they are in a bad state, this may take while to do.

I have all the hard copy documentation for the I2C interfaces, so will be looking to produce them if anyone is interested.

The TF Services I2C interfaces are all 5v version, and may work with the Q68.

In terms of the I2C interfaces - would it make sense to make them QWIIC compatible (from a connector point of view), as there is a growing library of these boards becoming available for experiments.

I have fitted a QWIIC compatible connector, which is a 4 pin JST-XH female connector, to the back panel of Q68 case on the Q68 batch 4.

The next batch of Q68, will have a 3D Printed Resin case and the I2C conne tor is on the righthand side next to the QL Network connector.

The I2C connector is a JST-XH 4 pin female connector:

I made a little adpter PCB to connect the internal Q68 I2C connector with a cable to the case wall and have a 4 pin JST-XH female connector:

which I hoped would be like the QWIIC standard that Sparkfun are promoting.
