Hi All

My original post : https://www.theqlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4029

I have decided to sell the QL bundle I have. While it's been fun showing the kids how 'old' stuff works, it's a big and bulky item that won't get that much use. Looks like a lot of faff, which could go horribly wrong to get the tapes working too. The SD vDrive thingy is also a little too expensive for something that, again, won't get used (unlike my retro gaming 'drives' for Atrai Lynx etc).

I saw an untested, system only, finish on eBay that went for £75, I also see buy it now stuff for anything up to £450 LOL which is a bit overpriced.

I think it's a decent set, single owner loft find. Proven as working (but still sold as seen, this is an old piece of kit), with a LOT of extras, tapes (the one of which I tried works, chess, but I dare not try any more) and a monitor. £200 collection (Coventry, West Mids) only. I'm not splitting the set.

The things like receipts and warranty card will be edited to remove names and address, obviously.

edit:

I've cleaned it up since those pics too, newer pics are available. Also, I'd rather it go to someone on here before I risk the great unwashed on eBay

It's not for me, thanks, but the price in the title is £200 while it's £250 in the text.

Can you edit the post and/or title to set the correct price please. Thanks.

Cheers,
Norm.

It's currently under an offer for £200, so I'll go with that. Cheers

No longer under offer, he offered £150 so I said £200. At least I know a better price range now.

Goes live on eBay tonight. Cheers for everyone's help, I appreciate it.

I'll give the winning bidder a link to this forum (if that's OK?), I was gonna put it in the description but eBay frowns upon such things.

I offer to buy everything except the monitor and PSU for £200, plus shipping to Texas USA. You can then donate the monitor and power supply to anyone in the forums that needs or will use them if they cover the cost of P&P.

Is that something you'd consider?

I'll take a look at what sending to the US entails and get back to you, I've never sent anything that far LOL

What's the best courier to use?

The Post Office. The only extra hurdle is you have to fill out a "Form CN22" customs declaration, saying there's a vintage computer and etc, and a value, and the postage will be a bit more. From the UK, it is surprisingly affordable. I'd 100% cover that.

I just need a couple of bits in there and a working QL to create another test area would be nice. I don't think the monitor would survive, but I'll happily pay for it and let someone there have it if they come get it or pay you separately for handling that. Same for the UK PSU, since those are a bit of a problem in the UK and someone will no doubt really need one.

Got £180 which seems very fair. I've forwarded the guy a link to this forum, he's a big Sinclair fan so hopefully will be a good member for you.

Cheers for ALL of the help guys, I appreciate it.
