Finally a notebook (until now I only own a Windows Tablet for 100 EUR). An IBM (äh Lenovo). Model is from 2011/12 or so (ThinkPad W520): But: Intel Core i7, 32 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Resolution 1920x1080 for 233,- Euros ;-)))
OK I've also bought a dockingstation (30 EURos), a mouse and keyboard (10 EURos) and an officially Windows 7 license (OEM with original CD and sticker) for 35 EURos (I can update it to Windows 10 officially without any costs); but that's still just a little bit more than 300 EURos :-) And it's the Notebook what I have wanted: WITH CHANGEABLE BATTERY :-)

There are some great deals out there for machines from a few years ago - I bagged a Dell M6600 for £250, with a 250G SSD and 8GB ram and Windows 10, solidly built.
