Anyone know the name or part numbers for the UK QL serial port and joystick connectors?

(Trying to find out for someone if the unwired plugs are still available)

This any good:

https://zxnet.co.uk/spectrum/btconnectors/

Anything along those lines does seem very tricky to locate though.

I still have a few "BT-plug to 25pin serial male", which I do not need. If that is of interest.

Perfect, thank you. I'll pass on the info.

I'll make up a small document for my website to document these. Interesting that it shows an error in the QL Service Manual for the type numbers of these connectors for QL.

Is the BT plug for serial (631W) or for joystick (630W) ?
I need a couple of adaptors for joystick.

I do not know. But as they have a D-Sub 25pin male socket on the other side, I think, they are for serial things.

Missed that part. Definitely serial.

631W is for the UK serial ports. It is described as a Type 600 right handed W-type polarisation. They are for BT data leads, used for the data or handset end of a connection.

630W is for joystick ports. It is described as a Type 600 left handed W-type polarisation. They are BT data leads, used for the line end of a connection.

It's been said before, but I'll repeat it. Although made for BT, they are NOT the same as the domestic British Telecom telephone connectors, which do not fit a QL. The term "BT" is misleading here. To make a joystick adaptor, you will need a type 630W plug. Wiring for a joystick adapter is here http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/hardware/joystick.zip

Now I know the type numbers, I was able to find a thread on here from 2018 :

For reference and posterity, added the information to the Hardware Docs page on my website, under the "Joystick" section.
