Hi,

I have a number of QIMI Interfaces that need repair, mainly broken pins on the 8303 and ROM sockets.

All the QIMI Interfaces do not have a battery attached. I do not want to fit a battery that may leak in the future.

So I am wondering if a Super-Capacitor to power the QL Clock backup.

They are a good choice and last a hell of a long time - I have resurrrected a couple of Z88's in my time, and only had to change one supercap that had started to leak excessive current, making the standby time on the Z88 much shorter.
