I've tried SMSQmulator on Raspberry Pi 2, and it works fine (except the sound). Some time ago I tried it on Rasberry Pi 1, but it was too slow to be usable.
I use OpenJDK, but heard Oracle Java is faster in the Raspberry. Can anybody confirm it?

On Pi2 OpenJDK and Oracle Java share the same JIT as I work with the guy who wrote it. Make sure you have OpenJDK8 though!

Today I gave the unmodified QL/E under SMSQmulator (Java 7) a go on my unmodified Raspberry Pi Model B. As expected it runs, but is sooo slowww. It is so slow that even some dependencies in the BOOT program (controlled by PAUSE) do not work out resulting in some programs being not that nicely positioned on screen.
Can someone please try it out on their RasPi 2 and report?

Is there some kind of bare metal(not sure on the term) QL emulator for the pi yet? One that works without having linux etc?
