Copyright Status of Trump Card ROM.

Hi all,

Now I have working a self designed floppy + QUBIDE, with a small addon board it's Floppy + SD, I'd like to add RAM to it to have an all in one card.

I figure the way to go would be to copy the method used by the TrumpCard which allows RAM all the way up to the top of the memory map and re-locates the ROMS down to $10000-$17FFF IIRC. Simce the interface uses a 1770 it should be easy enough to rig it to do this.

However if I where to get this board produced I'd need to distribute a floppy driver with it, and would need to know that I had permission to do so. QUBIDE & QL-SD are not a problem as the designs have been made public.

Cheers.

Phill.

I have emailed Stuart Honeyball (of Miracle Systems) to ask... :)

Stuart has responded:
The Trump Card ROM firmware copyright belongs to Tony Tebby so you should really ask him.
As far as my interest is concerned, I'm happy for you to go ahead.
Stuart Honeyball.
Unfortunately, I have not got a response to emails I sent to Tony Tebby (I may not have his current email address) - Urs Koenig, or Marcel Kilgus might have better luck getting a response on this!
