QL 5V current draw....

Hi all,
Anyone know what the QL draws from the 5V rail, as I see it uses a 7805. There has been some discussion non the ZX80/81 forum about replacing the 7805 in those machines with a small switched mode module that doesn't need the large heat sink something like this :
