can anyone point me in the direction of detailed instructions for flashing the Qubide ROM? I have one with V1.28 and I want to bring it up to 1.56. I know where the ROM images are located on Dilwyn Jones QL site but I can't find a utility and written procedures for writing the upgrade image to the existing chip.

HI Tom, as the e(prom) on qubide is the type that need to erase before re-programming (if is an usual chip with window covered by sticker) you may have an uv eraser and an hardware programmer same as Galep series from Conitech or similar.
Only if the chip is a flash rom you can reprogramming it without delete before, but still needed a programmer circuit to flash the binary file into it...
