I can put the letters on, there's not much room for them, but I will try when I home.

The leds on mine are through hole

That is why I use symbols on the cartridge.
Perhaps that is not possible, whatever, I love your case

In any case, after some other operations I discovered some strange behavior. Just not sure yet if it is related with the QL normal operations or to a bug with the MDP firmware.

You can use any MDV image and test it.
While you don't save the changes (right button) it will not make persistence.

In any case, you can provoke error messages playing around with format, dir, format dir dir dir format... whatever you want.
And it is something from the core of the project (original one) so the man that could solve it (because know better than anyone else) the structure and code of his implementation is Agustín Gimenez Bernad the original author). I am studying this part of the code (I didn't want to touch it yet) in order to give support and also fix bugs. But since he has not answered for long time I guess time comes to go ahead with next steps about document and modify the code now in the backend part).

Or perhaps, it is something normal related with the QL behavior with Microdrives. I have not one working to test it out.

So now I am documenting it, and start to get info ASAP in order to decide what to do.

I re downloaded the new cart file and I was able to format it.

Yay.

But then I couldn't do anything with it. I tried saving a basic file and kept getting

Bad or changed medium error.

The Caca image I was able to save a basic file to.

I often get the bad or changed medium error when trying to load carts. However sometimes the cart loads ok dispite the error message.

Caca one is an image I don't use any more.
I am digging on it, I mean those weird random message about bad medium. In RC13 I reduced them significantly. But I am not completely happy with it. I need to solve it once at all.
You could ( i have do it) write a little basic program and save it on the formatted mdv image.

There are the Agustin B. (original author) tools that I didn't try them completely yet (I am on it) and I think they are the best to create new images, formatted or to format.
