Good luck! Extra RAM will make a lot of difference to the QL, even if internal RAM is slightly slower than most external expansions.

That looks like it should run at full speed as it's attached to the processor bus directly - and it's static RAM.

All fitted and working

Have switched off the RAM for now though, thru the expansion port hatch, in preparation for my Trump card to arrive (as I only have 1 QL currently) so I can test that and hopefully get a spare 3.5" floppy & GoTek working (I had an Opus dual 5.25" external floppy case in the junk pile in the garage so have stripped that down, as power supply is shot, ready to hold the drives)

Thanks Tony. Yes, it's 'fast' RAM. I hope your Trump card works (no reason it shouldn't, they are quite reliable).

Received a couple of items from Chr$ today, many thanks

The VGA adapter works a treat with my TV so I can use Monitor mode now, I'll be fitting the ROM in a few days
